SAVE AS is an exhibition of digital art that uses spam email to reclaim the promise-laden subject lines of spam email by randomly mapping them into semi-erotic photographic forms that probe the intersection of sex and commerce on the Internet.
The images are made with a custom-written computer algorithm that maps the spam email text to the pixel colors in an image. Each final image comprises a selection of email from the years 2002-2006, which can be read in the image at a close distance.
